Separately they are Georgia Salpa and Calum Best, but together they are 'Calpa' -- the latest money-spinning power couple to join forces on this side of the Atlantic.

As Ireland's most in-demand model, Irish-Greek goddess Salpa appeared to have reached the top of her game at just 26.

But since hooking up with reality star Calum Best (30) on the set of Celebrity Salon earlier this summer, the Kim Kardashian lookalike's star has been propelled into the stratosphere.

Having already been snapped up by London agency M&P Models last year, Salpa -- who can reportedly command €600 an hour for her modelling services -- has been hailed as "Ireland's very own Jordan" by a besotted British press. And despite being relatively unknown across the pond, the Killiney beauty has even been tipped to appear on the new series of Celebrity Big Brother alongside presenter Brian Dowling and Jedward next month.

In the meantime, Georgia and Calum are reportedly set to jet to Mauritius to put on an exclusive PDA for Hello! magazine -- further sealing their status as Ireland and Britain's answer to Brangelina.

As an impossibly good-looking partnership which has proved greater than the sum of its parts, Calpa has been accused of 'showmance'.

But they wouldn't be the first celeb couple to capitalise on their love story.

While most A-list couples are desperately trying to keep their romance private, for others -- such as Liza Minnelli and David Guest, who flogged their wedding photos to OK! Magazine for a rumoured half million, or Tom Cruise, who famously declared his love for Katie Holmes by jumping on Oprah's couch -- it's practically a second job.

From an opportunistic smooch that happened to be papped or, indeed, denying the fling altogether, here we recall the celebs who proved the showmance must go on.

Brian McFadden and Vogue Williams

With both just fresh out of long-term relationships, it seems unlikely that pop crooner McFadden (who was engaged to Delta Goodrem) and model Williams (who was linked to street artist Maser) were looking for love when they conveniently bumped into each other at a Donegal nightclub in April. Nonetheless, after rebounding neatly into each other's arms, 'Brogue' was born. And whether Cupid was involved or not, the C-list coupling has certainly been mutually beneficial. Since relocating Down Under to be with her new beau, Fade Street star Vogue (26) has become a paparazzi darling and landed a guest DJ gig at Melbourne hotspot Eve. Meanwhile, the romance has helped the Australia's Got Talent judge recover from an alleged air-rage incident and his controversial single 'Just the Way You Are (Drunk at the Bar)', which was accused of promoting date rape. Although both have kept schtum about what they see in each other, publicity-magnet McFadden last week teased the tabloids by wearing a gold ring on his wedding finger.
