Father's Day Sales: Here's What's On Sale At Major Stores

Father’s Day sales are now in full swing for Father’s Day weekend, just in time for last minute Father’s Day gifts.

Lowe’s is featuring 20% off Char-Broil Commericial Series gas grills. Prices for the grills they have on sell range from $215 to about $400. They also have a wide mixture of items on their site that are listed at 10% to 50% off regular prices, and several items that come with a free bonus. Lowes.com.

At Sears they have 30% off on tool storage (boxes, cabinets) over $99. 20% off select TV’s, HDTV’s. Plus a sale on grills with free delivery on grills over $399 and patio sets over $249. Some of these are just available online, but they do offer in-store pickup for some items by Father’s Day, according to their site, Sears.com.

Big Lot’s has a wide selection of grills, cameras, electronics and other items for sale. Jazz 5 MP High Definition Camcorders are half off, on sale for $29.99. A Polaroid 4GB HD Portable Media/MP3 Player is 44% off, making it $50. A Kodak 12MP Camera is 31% off, at $55. The BBQ Grates 22.5″ Kettle Charcoal Grill is $30, the 18.5 inch square one is $20. The Char-Broil 35,000 BTU 2-Burner Gas Grill With Side Burner is $119. BigLots.com.

Kmart is featuring up to 30% off grills, patio furniture, swing sets, trampolines and pools. Up to 40% off camping gear. They also have $20 to $100 off select TV’s and HDTV’s. Kmart.com.

Macy’s, while not promoting this at a “Father’s Day Sale”, does have what they are calling their “Biggest One Day Sale”, today only. There are items on sale in just about every department and an extra 25% off clearance items, according to their site, Macys.com.

JCPenny is also having a sell in most departments that ends today. This is the last day of their ‘Summer Sale’.

Kohl’s is having a “Mega Sale” with 45% to 60% off select apparel, 30% to 50% off select watches, and an “Early Birds” sale today only until 1pm at stores.

All of the above sales have restrictions and some are either in-store or online only.

Sears and I have not gotten along recently. It took 3 separate deliveries and 1 repair visit to get the washer and dryer working properly. The Kenmore grill had to be returned because it was faulty. When I got my patio furniture home, it was damaged and had to be returned.

But the Sears email recommendations are what annoy me the most. When I bought the patio furniture, here’s the email I got from Sears.

More patio furniture? Come on Sears.

I’m not expecting Amazon-style recommendations, but this is just pathetic. Don’t make 8 recommendations of different patio furniture sets when I just bought a patio set. What about a fire pit. Or a grill. Or anything other than patio furniture.

Sears, consider hiring a more seasoned Internet marketer.
