Has been named head of the children’s and programming department at Warren-Newport Public Library District, Gurnee. Drinka holds a master’s in library science degree from Dominican University, River Forest, and a bachelor of arts in fiction writing from Columbia College, Chicago. Her previous experience is as youth program coordinator at Barrington Area Library and other posts at Baraboo, Wis. Public Library, Ela Area Public Library in Lake Zurich and Fox River Grove Public Library.Physicians group: Three physicians have joined the Northwestern Memorial Physicians Group which has opened an office on the campus of Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital.

We are happy to announce that the new checkout desk is opening and the new bookdrop is here!
Watch for lots of changes as we shift where you go to check in and check out library materials. The new desk and self checkout units move down the hall to the area near the new restrooms. Here is where you go for returns and checkout. Please bear with us as the new sorter/conveyor system is installed behind the scenes and the staff stations are reconnected to serve you.
We are also excited about the new bookdrop. There will be a one-day closure of this service while a new concrete pad is poured and the big box can be secured.
